Baseball, Alford style!

This Family home evening, we decided to play a little backyard baseball. You have probably never seen any sport played the way we played it! We had a baseball made out of wrapped up stickers, a plastic bat, double agents, princesses, champions, actresses, drama, and of course plenty of 'good natured' competition! Oh yes, we had it all! Each of the little kids were amazingly cute in their own way. Jessica was our dainty little princess, Bethany was our little actress, Jared was our little athletic boy, and so on! I thought the best part, however, was when Jessica managed to hit the basesball! She looked so stunned!! It took her a minute to realize she actually hit it! I was on the other team with Katie, but I kind of forgot that when Isaw my little babydoll looking so excited that she actually got to be a part of the game! No way was I about to let Katie ruin that for her! Besides, we were losing anyway so what would it hurt? So, when I saw Katie trying to get her out, I completely through the rule book out the window and practically tackled her to let Jessica hit home plate!!! I officially became the double 0 7 (007) of baseball! Katie wasn't too pleased, but Jessica was! Anyway, we had a great time, and we even drew a croud! Well, sort of. Our neighbors right behind us came outside for a little while to "watch the game". Alll in all, it was a great night!
