The Ticking Clock
The ticking clock
Upon the wall,
Tick tock, tick tock
Time seems to crawl.
It would seem a shock,
To one and all
To know that the clock,
That circular nuisance on the wall,
Was invented to simply mock
And thus the true meaning of time is lost to all.
Time is not limited to this life or that clock,
An entire day is truly a second in eternity and will fall.
It will fall from the memory, for it can not truly imitate
Although it attempts to mimic eternity, and deceive all.
The mocking clock,
Shall fall!
The ticking clock
Upon the wall,
Tick tock, tick tock
Time seems to crawl.
It would seem a shock,
To one and all
To know that the clock,
That circular nuisance on the wall,
Was invented to simply mock
And thus the true meaning of time is lost to all.
Time is not limited to this life or that clock,
An entire day is truly a second in eternity and will fall.
It will fall from the memory, for it can not truly imitate
Although it attempts to mimic eternity, and deceive all.
The mocking clock,
Shall fall!
