For some reason I have been thinking about colors and what they mean to me... So, I decided to list all the different colors I can think of and what they mean or symbolize to me... I may add more later as I think of them!
Blue- calm, peaceful, serene, water, cold/cool, sometimes sad
Purple- has always been considered a royal color. This is probably because purple was always such a bright and expensive color that in early times only the royalty wore it. Purple is also associated with loyalty and bravery.
Green- I have always thought that green was a special color because of how much the Lord has used it in the world! Trees, grass, leaves, vines, algae, moss, a flowers stem, and so on! The Lord must really have loved green! Green has also been used to portray jealousy; however, I have always preferred the reference to nature and beauty.
Red- Because red is such an outstanding color, it also represents outstanding things. Red has been known to symbolise everything from love, to hate, to fire, stength, war, extreme emotions, heat, summer or fall, blood, fighting and so on.
Brown- When I think of brown, I see chocolate, warmth, nature, Earth, and simple kindness.
Orange- Orange reminds me of the sun when you glance right at it, as well as happiness and excitement.
Yellow- Yellow is sunshine, smiley faces, welcome, summer time, sun flowers, and the stars at night. I t also reminds me of the moon when it looks like a ball of cheese.
Black- Black means a number of different things to me. It can mean anything from death, fear, haunted, lonely, void of life, gothic, and so on to thing like night time, the moon and stars, peace in the night, midnight, calm , peacefulness, calm, beauty and more.
Grey- Grey is rather a drab, indistinct color that reminds me of smoke, ghosts, fog, and other such things. Its rather devoid of its own character if you ask me.
Pink- Pink has always reminded me of the time when my mom dressed me from head to toes in pink! Therefore I think of pink bows, tea parties, pretty little girls, dolls, butterflies, pink fingernails, and so on. However, now that my predjudice against pink has dwindled, it does have its uses in my different outfits.
White- White symbolises purity, virtue, kindness, sainthood, angels, cleanliness, heaven, God, Church, Temples, Baptism, Weddings, and Faith.
Gold- Gold is puity, virtue, beauty, and probably my favorite color.
